Players in Capitol Heights, Glen Burnie, Hagerstown, Laurel, Severna Park score $50,000 or more
A Maryland Lottery player in Lanham is holding a Cash4Life ticket worth $1,000 a week for life. Meanwhile, as the Powerball jackpot grew to $128 million a player in Riverdale won a $150,000 prize; and Mega Millions players in Catonsville and Cheverly won $20,000 prizes as the jackpot reached $326 million in the past week.
The Cash4Life win came in the June 18 drawing, and the winner will have their choice of $1,000 a week for life, paid in annual installments of $52,000; or a one-time payment of $1 million. As of the morning of June 23, the prize had not yet been claimed, but the winner has 182 days from the June 18 drawing date to do so.
Also, in the past seven days, another six players in Capitol Heights, Glen Burnie (two), Hagerstown, Laurel and Severna Park won prizes of $50,000 to $100,000.
Across Maryland, and across all games, the Lottery paid nearly $31.2 million in prizes during the week of June 16-22, including 39 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed in that seven-day span.
Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location. Tickets for draw games expire 182 days after the drawing. FAST PLAY tickets expire 182 days after purchase. The last date to claim for scratch-offs is posted on the scratch-offs page.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes up to $25,000 can be claimed at the cashier window of any of the six casinos in Maryland. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets worth up to and including $600. More information is available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website.
