Scratches Deluxe Crossword ticket while walking home from store
Last Friday, Montia Dollar purchased her favorite scratch-off game, Deluxe Crossword, from Market Lot Liquors in Hagerstown and decided to pass the time walking home by scratching off the $5 instant ticket. What she saw stopped her in her tracks.
“I thought I read the ticket wrong,” said the mother-of-two sons, who has a daughter on the way. “I quickly stopped walking and checked the ticket using the Lottery app on my phone. I then got home as fast as I could.”
When she arrived, Montia told Dominic, who is her significant other, that she had just scratched a $10,000 winner! The 27-year-old made the trip to Lottery headquarters with Dominic and her 3-year-old and 5-year-old sons to claim her prize and pick up her check.
With the winnings, the Washington County residents plan to fix a few existing problems on their cars and do some work around the house.
Montia found her lucky scratch-off at Market Lot Liquors located at 54 W. Church St. in Hagerstown. There are still plenty of prizes remaining on the Deluxe Crossword game, including four $50,000 top prizes and seven $10,000 prizes.
